Hot Stone Massage
This is an ancient therapeutic treatment dating back thousands of years. Igneous stones of a volcanic origin contain basalt, feromagnesium and other rich minerals that are thermostatically conductive – they retain and release heat. This is known as Thermotherapy. They have been individually hand shaped and polished, no harsh tumbling has been used, in order to maintain the quality of these stones. The stones are placed on Chakra and other Associated Effect Points and incorporated into a beautiful massage sequence combining Western, Eastern and Hawaiian techniques.
Swedish Massage
Designed to relax the whole body and mind using slower movements working with the superficial muscles, Swedish massage concentrates on relaxing nervous tension, encouraging and stimulating good blood and lymphatic circulation. Swedish Massage is a prime technique used in Hot Stone Massage Therapy.
Reflexology
A technique involving Compression Foot Massage to remove congestion and blockages from our energy pathways permitting unobstructed flow of energy through the organism, improving circulation, normalising and balancing organ and gland function and relaxing the whole system. Pressure is applied using thumbs and fingers to reflex points that correspond to the body’s systems.
Remedial/Sports/Deep Tissue Massage Services
A therapeutic deep tissue Massage using concentrated techniques, to relieve pain, realign and balance the musculo skeletal system. Remedial and Sports Massage keeps the muscles and joints in good supple and flexible condition encouraging fast healing, injury prevention and peak performance at all times. An ideal adjunctive companion to Hot Stone Therapy using heated stones as deep tissue tools.
Shiatsu
A traditional Japanese style of Accupressure on a mat on the floor or on a table, incorporating thumbs and palms to apply pressure to specific points along the meridians of the body stimulating these points, clearing blockages, restoring the flow of energy to the body and balancing all the body’s systems. This style is perfect for on site seated massage.
Aromatherapy
Natural holistic treatment where essential oils are extracted from organic plant materials. Aromatherapy works well on all mental, physical and emotional levels balancing physiological harmony. There are no side effects as essential oils are 100% pure and unadulterated. Aromatherapy is an extremely relaxing experience and specific essential oils are chosen for your individual needs. Used in conjunction with massage, baths, inhalations and compresses, Aromatherapy relieves aches and pain, insomnia, depression, anxiety, dysfunctional injuries and disease and much more.
Advanced Muscular Therapy
A combination of advanced physical therapies techniques applied by a highly qualified and skilled therapist. Manual Lymph Drainage
A full hour and a half body massage to specifically encourage the circulation of lymphatic fluids and elimination of waste products from the body, clearing blockages and relieving congestion. Light specific techniques are applied targeting lymphatic modal areas and directing the flow of lymph towards the emptying ducts encouraging elimination of fluid retention, oedema and fatigue, strengthening the immune system which will allow the production of more energy.
Pregnancy Massage
Advance Massage specialises in pregnancy massage with a safe, comfortable environment where the mother to be can relax with peace of mind and receive a massage to relieve the tensions that build up during this time. Safe gentle techniques are applied with care promoting good circulation of blood and lymph, keeping the muscles relaxed, preventing injury, relieving and preventing oedema, maintaining good posture, preventing structural dysfunction relaxing both mother and baby.
On Site Seated Massage (Corporate/Workplace)
We can come to you, to your office, workplace, corporate function or conference. A specially designed portable massage chair or face cradle that attaches to any desk or bench surface is used allowing you to relax and enjoy a Shiatsu style massage to relieve stress, tension, aches and pain in as little as 15 minutes. On Site Seated massage targets the back, head, neck, shoulders, arms and hands. No oil is used and ther is no removal of clothing necessary. This is a very convenient, tidy and efficient way to enable you to receive a massage and is excellent for busy people.
