Counselling from the Heart is therapy with a difference. It reaches into your deepest layers, relaxing stress and anxiety and healing emotional wounds.
A session begins with looking into any problems and the feelings that go with them. Instead of trying to solve problems, the focus is on accepting life as it is and ourselves as we are. Once we stop fighting with our selves and our problems, old patterns begin to dissolve. Then it becomes possible to act in new and fresh ways.

Oneness Blessing (Deeksha) is an initiation, a transfer of divine energy or grace. It plants the seed for the flowering of the heart and oneness consciousness. It inevitably dissolves separation and reconnects you with the whole. It is bliss, love and freedom to experience yourself as one.

Tibetan Pulsing is an ancient and immensely powerful way of healing body and soul. Pain is transformed into pleasure. During a healing session, blocks in the nervous system melt, dis-ease is dissolved and the body’s natural energy flow is restored. Working through the body, it is possible to reach areas of emotional and mental tension that are otherwise unavailable. Stress disappears and a feeling of well being, freedom and vitality arises.

His partner, Subhi, offers The Trager® Approach. In a Trager session, your body is supported and gently moved within its pain-free range and natural rhythm. Every movement and every touch that you experience while lying on a Trager table communicates how free your body could be.

Subhi and Sudeva are both fully qualified therapists. To find out more about their work, see below or go to www.songoflife.com.au

Trager … An Approach For Every Body
The Trager® Approach is pleasurable and gentle, yet the effects are deep and lasting.
In a Trager session, your body is supported and gently moved within its pain-free range and natural rhythm.

Every movement and every touch that you experience while lying on a Trager table communicates how free your body could be. It calms the nervous system, the muscles relax, and the body is able to let go into the play of the movements. As your body and mind yield to these soft movements, tensions disappear and new movement patterns become possible, the natural, free flowing movements we all used to know as children.

As you receive your Trager session, you may choose to be partially or fully clothed.

What about Massage?
Bodywork can be practiced in many ways. So many forms are available, ranging from Swedish Massage to Shiatsu, from Trager to Tibetan Pulsing, and it is great to receive a massage from a healer who has trained in some of these forms.

Ultimately, though, it is the intuitive skills of the practiced bodyworker that are more important than anything. It is a delight to allow your body to relax and receive a massage from someone who is able to let go of theory and allow his or her hands to take over, sure that they will know what to do.

Sudeva and his partner Subhadro now offer bodywork sessions in Denmark, Albany and Perth, Western Australia.

They have both trained in many forms of bodywork around the world. Now, their delight is to allow their intuition to take over, describing such work as magical massage from healing hands. They find that it combines very well with more formal approaches to healing, allowing space for that which is beyond the mind to come through.

It is here that healing happens.

Counselling from the Heart
Counselling from the Heart is a way into the deepest layers of your being. Here, you will find most of your individual problems simply melt away. Those that remain grow easier to resolve from this perspective, or to let go entirely.

When a client first comes to me, this is where we start. We take some time to discuss his or her life as it is, to see what appears to be working and what does not. We discuss any concerns the client may have about the counselling process, such as confidentiality. Where change appears desirable, we look at new goals and how to achieve them.

For example, if a student comes with anxiety about approaching exams we will work with techniques for relaxation. If a person is in a situation of domestic violence, we will consider if it is necessary to move to a safe place, with all the issues that would surround that decision. Someone else may be busy with more pleasant choices, such as wondering whether to move house or to make a career change. Still, there are most often practical matters to be considered and taken into account. The most wonderful home will not make you happy if you can’t pay the mortgage, the most exciting job in the world won’t satisfy if you don’t earn enough to feed the kids. All the work on such issues is at the level of strategies.

However, once we have taken care of the immediate concerns, we realise that new issues never cease to arise. Once this is understood, we can move to a deeper level where true healing is possible.

Counselling from the Heart encourages the art of accepting what is. However, it is hard to be accepting when one is in a difficult situation. So, that is why the work begins with investigating current issues and identifying ways of working with them. These include solving problems, identifying goals and looking for solutions.

Each of us eventually discovers that, no sooner do you solve one problem in life, than another crops up.

This is where the art of acceptance comes in, learning not to fight with life. It does not mean that one does not do anything about unpleasant or difficult situations. What it does mean is being at peace with the fact that the outcome of our efforts is not always in our hands. We do our best and then we can relax.

My mother is in the process of losing much of her vision. There are things she can do about this, but she will not be able to see as well as she used to. She can make herself miserable fighting with this reality, or she can do what she can and then let go. She does see better when she relaxes her attempts to do so than when she is struggling to see.

So, acceptance does not imply resignation. It is often in the acceptance that we perceive the next step, but that in itself is not and can not be the reason for acceptance. When we think it is, we are kidding ourselves. By its very nature, acceptance cannot have an agenda.

Counselling from the Heart is a form in which many paths have been found to take us beyond our constant struggle with life, our endless attempts to change things and to find new solutions to our problems. We go beyond this struggle to those depths where we can accept life as it is, moment to moment. Here we find that the journey is the goal. The great pilgrimage is not from here to there but from here to here.

“When a clear and compassionate consciousness comes to a wound,
the wound disappears, evaporates.”

Healing Relationships through Tantra
Tantra in its essence is the experience of two beloveds meeting, melting and merging with each other.

They are enjoying, healing and transforming each other. What is surprising is that we need to learn how to do this. When you first fall in love, it seems so obvious and so simple that you are going to spend the rest of your lives together going deeper and deeper into this precious experience.

What happens?
What goes wrong?

The problem lies in our expectations. Each expects the other to fulfill their dreams. And when they don’t… watch out! Lovers don’t like to be disappointed. Once in a while, two people meet who are perfectly aligned to each other and so naturally fulfill one another. Otherwise, the moment will arise when it is more important to be right than to be heartful.

Zen Tarot!
Tarot is a wonderful tool for looking deeply into what is happening in one’s life. That is what it was originally designed for. In symbols, it reveals a map of the psyche, of one’s inner nature. This map can be immensely helpful in understanding what is happening in one’s life and in making plans for the future.

Traditionally, Tarot has been used for fortune telling. That is a limitation of its possibilities. The beings who created it were intending something more. In truth, it is an ancient tool for self-discovery and transformation. A quality Tarot reading promotes clarity of your situation and assists you with insight into who you truly are and the direction in which you are heading.

I love to work on the Tarot Stall at the Fremantle Markets, which has been a feature of the markets for the last twelve years. I find it amazing to see how powerful and transforming a 25 minute Tarot reading can be.

What is Tibetan Pulsing Healing?
Tibetan Pulsing is an ancient and immensely powerful form of healing. Acceptance of each moment becomes simpler.

Osho Tibetan Pulsing is a process of transformation that heals on many levels.

It was practiced in the monasteries of Tibet for thousands of years. Presently, these Tibetan teachings are being spread all over the world. These secret processes have now been translated into a form more suited to western consciousness than were the traditional methods.

If you like to look, you will see that in our daily life the mind is running the show. The mind is a wonderful tool, but not so good when it takes the role of master, for it loves problems and likes to polarise situations. So, in Tibetan Pulsing we make a jump from the head into the heart. The heart has an innocence; it knows no separation and lives only in the moment. It doesn't know about good and bad or black and white. It only wants to unify and melt with other hearts.

What is Healing?
What if you don’t find it easy to just be happy? Then, it may be that you feel in need of healing. Magic is the art of being truly focused on one’s desires. Healing seems to be almost its opposite.

Healing happens when one allows oneself to sink through the many layers of defences we use to protect ourselves. It is these defences that create tension in our bodies and nervous systems. There are layers of belief and of identity, strategies we use to defend ourselves from what we do not want and to achieve what we do, and beneath these are layers of emotion. What is hidden underneath all these one does not know until one arrives there and the process of letting go into one’s core can be frightening. A skilled healer may help in the process of finding the way through these layers.

Everyone who has looked has found that what is underneath all these layers is our being. From this place deep inside where we know who we are, it is possible to see the grasping and the pushing away, all that is exhausting our energies. In this place of inner relaxation, it is possible to see what ails us and, perhaps, to address it. Often, it is possible to affect one’s life situation in a positive way or to bring physical healing. Always, it is possible to relax with what is.

This is the art of healing.

This art has been discovered again and again and has been described in many ways. Brandon Bays explains it in her book The Journey as does Dr Rahasya Kraft in Avalanches and Awakenings, in which he introduces Counselling from the Heart. To be relaxed with what is seems to us so distant a goal and yet it is closer to us than our own breathing. In truth, it is very simple.

What is Magic? or ‘How do I find my heart’s desire?’
Magic is no more than the art of making things happen. it is explained in the book and DVD of "The Secret". Sudeva can both assist you in working with this approach and enable you to avoid the pitfalls.
First, we realise what we want, then we create it as a reality in the world. At its simplest, it may be that the desire to find a job is followed by the act of looking for a job in the newspaper, calling the employer and getting the job. We do not ordinarily conceive of this as magic, but that is what it is. How happy we are, for a moment, when we get the job. We feel the magic of it.

It is only when we learn to relax with our longings that transformation actually begins. Not that we can’t have the things we want, but we are not caught up in the wanting and healing can begin. If you can just be happy, that is all there is to it.
