Hair Sample Testing
Hair sample testing is a convenient and accurate way of testing for food intolerances or allergies. It is simple and needs only a few strands of hair, or a 1/4inch sample off the bottom. The testing machine is designed to measure latent energies in the cells of the hair and compare them against the known values of the allergen samples. This is explained more fully in the allergy testing methods section.
Hair sample testing is great for people who live in remote places, or for active children who cannot sit still, for young babies, and for anyone who cannot attend a test in person. It is especially more accurate for children because they may find it hard to sit quietly through the whole test.
After the hair sample is tested a full report will be posted out to the parent or client, along with recommendations, information on diet, and remedies needed to help the person overcome the problem or allergy.
Allergy/ Intolerance Testing
The actual test is done with a machine that is electro-magnetic. It uses a small probe to pick up energies from an acupuncture point on the hand or finger, and then compares that energy with a sample of the food or allergen being tested for. A reading is given by the machine, and the strength of that reading determines whether there is an intolerance or allergy to that particular sample. In the case of testing using a hair sample, (which is ideal for people who cannot physically be present for testing) the machine has a special compartment to hold the hair strands while the testing is being done. Not many allergists test against so many samples, which is why Jan has had such great success in pin-pointing problems.
