ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture is an ancient method of treatment that aims to restore health to the body by the insertion of hair-thin needles into specific areas known as acupuncture points.
A typical treatment at Ultra Health Therapies™ may include the combined use of any of the following therapies, herbal medicine, moxibustion, cupping, ear candling, gua sha and tuina (Oriental massage).

The Beauty Services we offer include your own personal skin prescription with each of our facials. A facial will consist of a skin analysis, surface cleansing, exfoliation, skin polishing, ozone steam, extractions (if necessary), relaxing massage (face, upper back, neck and shoulders), specific treatment mask and finished with serum, face and eye cream, all done with our products Payot in a private and relaxing atmosphere.
Some of the specialty services offered at the clinic include eyelash tinting, professional eyelash grafting, eyebrow shaping and waxing.
NATUROPATHY
Naturopathy combines natural therapies such as herbal medicine, nutrition, homoeopathy, flower essences and supplemental therapy for the treatment of illness and restoration of wellbeing. A Naturopath views the individual from a holistic perspective using symptoms as a guide rather than a diagnosis, treating the body as an integral whole.
CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE
Chinese Herbal Medicine can be traced back almost 5,000 years, although as most herbs are food, herbs have been used since humans were hunters and gatherers. Nowadays, Chinese Herbal Medicine brings together ancient folk remedies and the prized health secrets of the various dynasties over the centuries together with the enormous benefits of modern science and research.
There is an arising awareness of the benefits of Chinese herbal medicine in the west.
HOMOEOPATHY
Homoeopathy is a complete system of medicine developed by German physician and chemist, Dr Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843), based on the principle of "like cures like". For example, coffee stimulates the nervous system and the production of urine. A homoeopathic dose of coffee can cure a patient troubled with unusual mental activity and sleeplessness together with excessive production of urine.
MASSAGE
Remedial Massage is a combination of many therapeutic massage techniques used in the treatment of muscle tension, joint restriction, fluid retention, sports injury, lower back pain, chronic headache, frozen shoulder, neck stiffness, sport recovery, repetitive work injury and general aches and pains from stress, poor posture and fatigue.
Oriental Massage is a hands-on therapy like other massage techniques however there are some distinct differences. The techniques have come from the Orient and the practitioner of Oriental massage promotes the flow of 'Qi' in the energy channels of the body called meridians. The purpose of having an Oriental Massage is to facilitate the flow of 'Qi' in the body which in turn balances the client. Oriental massage is used for all types of problems some of note include chronic headaches, sports injury, bad posture, neck or lower back strain and general fatigue.
CLINICAL NUTRITION
Nutrition plays a critical role in restoration and maintenance of health and wellbeing. This includes both macronutrient requirements (carbohydrates, proteins, and fats), as well as micronutrients, (vitamins and minerals), which play a significant role in proper metabolic functioning. Associated with this, is the treatment and support of a healthy, functioning gut. Individualised support and education is provided in nutritional counselling and dietary solutions, food allergy elimination, detoxification support and, where necessary, nutritional supplements.

Holistic counselling acknowledges that true wellness occurs on all levels - physical, mental, and emotional. It is an integrated approach to supporting personal health and wellbeing, which can result in a range of important issues and their outcome.

TRACEY WINTER

I first began my career into natural therapies as a graduate of massage and reflexology in the mid 1990’s. Continuing my passion in this field, I began my studies into acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in 1998. After graduating from the Bachelor’s Degree at Australian College of Natural Medicine, Gold Coast, I tutoured and lectured. I completed my post graduate training as a Toyohari Practitioner and use Manaka acupuncture protocols from East Asia. I was particularly drawn to the later two methods of acupuncture treatment as I suffered severe menstrual pain. After one 10 minute treatment with a Toyohari practitioner I was back at work as normal. It was a method that did not have a needle inserted and that was impressive!
LINDA TEDD
(BApp.Sc.TCM)
I was a student at the Academy of Natural Therapies where I attained a Degree in Applied Science of Traditional Chinese Medicine which incorporates acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and massage. When I graduated in 1992 I originally practised in Brisbane before joining clinics on the Gold Coast at Runaway Bay, Main Beach and now Southport. I have always been in general practice but over the last six years have specialised in cosmetic acupuncture. For the last five years I have also been lecturing in Chinese herbal medicine at the Australian College of Natural Medicine.
SAMANTHA HARRIS

Samantha Harris is our qualified Beauty Therapist. Having established her own very successful beauty therapy clinics on the Gold Coast since 2001, Samantha has continued to follow her passion in the health and wellbeing industry and is due to finalize her Bachelor Degree studies in acupuncture by early 2009.
Samantha is passionate about helping people look and feel their best. She brings her extensive skills to our team having a wide experience in owner operated businesses and a genuine love for what she does.
JUDITH MAGEE

Judith Magee began her studies in Naturopathy in 1989 at Sydney's Australasian College of Natural Medicine. She went on to complete a stand-alone advanced diploma from the esteemed Sydney College of Homeopathic medicine, plus postgraduate studies in wholistic counselling, clinical nutrition and western herbal medicine. She moved with her husband and 2 children to the beautiful hinterland of the Northern Rivers area. In 1998, she took up a position as homoeopathic lecturer and supervisor of the naturopathic student clinic at The Academy of Natural Therapies, located at Gold Coast Institute of TAFE, Southport. Since completing a year of study in 2005, she has been focussing on clinical practice, working from three locations - her clinic at Uki, NSW, Main St Medical Centre, Murwillumbah, and Ultra Health Therapies, Southport.
Judith is a fully accredited practitioner, and a member of the following professional associations - Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS), Australian Homoeopathic Association (AHA) and Australian Register of Homoeopaths (AROH). JADE PATON

Jade Paton has been a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist since 2005. Having previously specialized in work with elite athletes, her passion is firmly grounded in the health and fitness industry.
While being in the employ of a health and fitness spa, Jade continued her studies to further her treatment methods in the use of sophisticated Deep Tissue and Remedial Massage techniques. These techniques are used to address more chronic issues of pain and help to improve movement of the soft tissues that have sustained injury or trauma.
Jade specializes in the treatment of soft tissue injury from arthritis, sports or repetitive work, sprains and strains or falls to name just a few. Jade aims to assist her clients achieve their desired health results.
